A housing cooperative (or co-op) is a shared ownership model. Instead of buying an individual unit, members collectively own the entire property through a cooperative corporation. Each member has the right to occupy a specific townhouse and takes part in the decisions that shape the community. This approach combines the independence of home living with the shared benefits of joint ownership and maintenance.
